Project Arya
Today is May 18th, 2019 00:17:02 AM. The day has just begun, though it’s a new moon day today.The rare blue flower moon will appear in the sky in some hours. I have started working on my beloved project today — Project Arya (truly inspired by Arya Stark character from Game Of Thrones).
What is project Arya?
This project is aimed to achieve one of my targets for 2019 — achieving Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
What is the deadline for this project?
I think I am going to constantly ramp up my learnings and share the journey as I move ahead in getting this task done. I think I am going to finish this project by July,2019 (fingers crossed).
Where are you learning from?
I have recently read through a lot of blog posts which showcase the steps that are needed to go through in terms of courses, exams and lessons that are needed to get this certification. My top 3 resources would be — Coursera, Linux Academy and A Cloud Guru.
Any other resources?
I am using Trello to create my tasks and I usually like doing white boarding while taking down notes. It helps me think out loud and brainstorm about specific concepts and the central idea behind it.
Overview of Google Data Engineer Certification
It’s a 2 hour examination with 50 multiple choice questions. The exam fee is 200$ and the certificate is valid for 2 years. If you pass the exam, then you get some good perks from Google’s merchandise certification website where you can buy some goodies once you pass the exam.
